Western Method

✦ Use 1-2 tsp per cup. Infuse in freshly boiled water for 5-15 minutes, covered.
✦ Best enjoyed in the morning or early afternoon.
✦ Serve hot or chilled, adding honey or maple to sweeten. Can be made into a liquid base for smoothies.

Traditional Method

✦ Fill a yerba mate gourd ⅔ full with loose yerba mate
✦ Tilt to one side to create a hollow
✦ Moisten the pit with cool water
✦ Insert a bombilla straw and pour in 70°C water
✦ Sip and refill as desired
✦ Traditionally enjoyed and shared slowly

✦ 50g: ~3 weeks (2–3 cups daily)
✦ 250g: ~12 weeks
✦ 1kg: ~14 months
